Reading fun for kids from Canada’s public libraries
They slowly crept upstairs, there they found the door marked “the secret attic”. They both took a deep breath and opened the door, when they got in all they saw were boxes and boxes. “I don’t see what’s so secret in here” Misha said that’s when a map rolled to their feet. The map had a spot with an “x” on it. They grabbed the map and raced downstairs but they couldn’t find Aunt Zoya anywhere so without asking they went outside and followed the map till the “x”. First they had to climb a big wall, then walk through a dark & eerie forest. They were scared but they were eager to find out what was at the “x .When they got out, they saw a big table decorated with streamers, balloons and their favourite cake. They were puzzled.Suddenly everyone jumped out and yelled “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”. Misha and Ollie were so engaged in finding what might be at the “x”, That they forgot it was their birthday. So they enjoyed the party.
And that’s the story of The Not So Secret Attic.
and found the secret attic and went up what they saw suprised them they found a bunch of boxes with their name on them they opened the boxes and found tons of presents from their aunt
As they walked, they began talking.”Did you notice Aunt Zoya seemed kinda happy?” Misha asked Ollie.”Yeah, it must be an awesome surprise! “ Ollie replied eagerly. They continued walking until they found the door they were looking for. They opened the door, and found… “Oh, great!” Ollie grumbled. We walk up a billion flights of stairs and all we find is a bunch of dumb paintings!” He began walking down the stairs, but Misha was staring at one particular painting.”Ollie, look!” Misha finally cried. “It’s grandma and grandpa!”“Don’t be ridic-“ Ollie stopped talking and stared at the painting.”Holy Moly! It IS grandma and grandpa!”They were in the painting. Misha found a button, and pushed it. “HI, kids!” Grandma’s cheery voice came out of the painting.”How you doin, kiddos!”Grandma’s voice said. Amazed, Misha said, “ How’d you get in there?” Oh, we jumped in!”Grandpa replied. As they talked, the painting seemed to move. “You can visit us any time!” And so, over the vacation, they did.
there hands were shaking till the got to the SECRET ATTIC.ONCE they entered the SECRET ATTIC….
They saw a huge statue carved with them on it.’IS it really us’ said Zoya .’I don’t know ‘said Ollie.
Then when they got in there they found a secret door that lead them to a secret escalator that took them down…
They go inside the attic and find a door they go through and find tons of cool stuff and their most favourite thing books they take as many as they please and go outside to show their aunt. Each time they visit they go to the attic get books and read.
And slowly opened the door and… found tons of books, crafts, and toys. Misha and Ollie had lots of fun playing, crafting, and reading at Aunt Zoyas cottage.
and opened the door with the words secret attic, it revealed a some stairs that headed up. They took the stairs and found a room with a couch, a bathroom and a bed alond with a chest. Misha and Ollie were very curious, so they opened the chest and saw a folded piece of paper along with a bunch of toys. When they unfolded the paper it said:Go to the far right of this room there is a staircase, go down.
Since the chest was on the far right of the room they walked across the attic the indeed find a staircase leading down into a well lit room. That also had a couch, a bed, a bathroom and instead of a chest there was a window showing a fantastic view of the lake beside the cottage. The light from the setting sun cast a its beautiful shine on the lake. It looked spectacular. When the sibling noticed another piece of paper that was folded paper and read:These are your rooms please pick one.
Misha got the one with the window and Ollie got the other. Their stay was quite enjoyable.
The attic was filled with amazing stuff like stuffed animals and snake skin, even old animal enclosures since Aunt Zoya once worked for a reptile place.
Went into the attic and found another set of stairs going down. They went down the new set of stairs and when they were down they were in the kitchen! Ollie looked back at the stairs but they had vanished! That had been a very wonderful surprise!
Then they thought for a moment, but when they were done, they realized, that they were already in the attic!”What do we do?”asked Ollie. Then it was silenet.
I think they already went up in the attic without permission. And they saw something very creepy up in the attic, like an alien and then the alien zapped them with a ray gun. And the zap made them listen very well. And not understand anything that clearly. And it took a while for them to respond. And it also made them sit like statues. And it also made them hesitate. And it made them scared of the attic. And it makes them act like aliens.
They opened the door and saw a whole lot of stuff. Which was old clocks and timers plus a chest that said Aunt’s Time Capsule. They open the chest old days photos, school medals, trophy and her memories. They took the chest and went downstairs and asked can make a time capsule. Can you print some pictures of us aunt. When their parents came the sisters showed their parents their new time capsule
When they opened the door they found a pitch black room.” Well, that ruins it.” Ollie sighed.”I was hoping for like, more adventure like, maybe a pirate attack or—”“ARRRRRR! Ye mateys are in pirate land! Ye get out or ye may attack!” “AHHHHHH!” “Misha, maybe this attic changes into what we say!” “Maybe your right, Ollie”
Misha and Ollie went in and found loads of great stuff, and every time they went there, there was new things.
The two siblings climbed slowly up the wobbling ladder leading to the attic. Ollie, who was leading the little procession, was clutching a flashlight.
“Anything could be up there!” Misha whispered with a frightened trembling voice.
Ollie put a finger to his lips, then opened the heavy wooden door, which was laden with a heavy, knitted pale blue blanket with an intricate styled pattern.
Misha and Ollie peeped into the dimly-lighted room, due to the unfortunate clouded sky and stared in dumbfounded silence. Before them stood a circular low-set coffee table. In the very center of the table stood a dainty-looking vase proudly carrying violets of the most colours that could possibly be natural for a violet to carry. The four walls were coated thickly with royal blue and deep purple tapistry’s
outlined with bright red, turquoise, and soft pink threads. Printed in the middle and around it were roses, violets, and daisies embroidered into the delicate tapestries….
maybe her aunt was a prite who retired who bought home the big chest of tresure.
They fell into a deep dark hole and they found aunt soya was actually a villain who was wanting to steal all their money
Till they reached the Attic. When they climbed into the attic they found jars and jars of twinkling stars. With great joy the children let out a few and tried to catch them again, but the biggest star flew away and became the North star. The North star guided many sailor and travelers in the right direction and every night the children would look up at the North star and say good night.
they slowly opened the door and saw a statue of aunt Zoya ! then they looked behind it and saw… a treasure chest!!! but then mysteriously there parents came to pick them up
