Red Wolf is quite an emotional book. I would highly recommend it. It is about an Aboriginal child who is taken from his home at the age of 5 to a residential school, where Aboriginal children were assimilated into the culture of the white men. These were not good places, and Red Wolf, the boy, changes into a whole new person while at the school, losing his culture, language and ability to express his feelings.
