A young child is anxious and overwhelmed by feeling so small in comparison to all the stars in the sky; it keeps his mind wandering all night. His father devises a plan: take their old pickup truck (named Darlin’) and camp out overnight in the middle of the desert, where they will “shake hands with the universe” under a sky blanketed with stars. Facing this fear together and in the most supportive way leads to a bond between father and child that neither will ever forget.
