The TD Summer Reading Club is a fun (and free!) program for kids held by participating Canadian public libraries.
And what a program it was! Canadian kids just like you submitted almost 3,000 story endings, over 16,000 book reviews and nearly 11,000 jokes! The 2017 program has ended, and although submissions are now closed, you can still have fun reading what other kids have sent in. You’ll only be able to log in to your notebook until October 31, so make sure you take one last look at all your reading and writing achievements before then! Way to go! See you again in 2018!
Reading fun for kids from Canada’s public libraries
Its interesting how this author decided to write about a residental school. You think Canada was a good place to live in back then and everybody would be like us.Think again many children went to residental school in 1966. Residental school is horrible your only allowed to have the school’s customs and beilefs. What if you forget your own language?,but its still good to read this book and learn how grateful it is to live in Canada right now and Canada isn’t like that right now.
It’s 😢 to think this happened in such a wonderful country

Super Sad Story. :( :( :(
its sad at the beginning
I have been reading other books on residential schools.
It’s so hard to know that the Canada we know and love did these horrible things to indigenous Children.
Sad,but somthing you NEED to read
Residential Schools are so sad! I would cry so hard if I had to be taken away from my family to be brainwashed into a culture that is not mine! Really great book though; it captures the pain that these kids must have gone through..
Very emotional. :)/:(
People have told me they are very good books
