On a stormy night, Asha and her brother Ayan are at their grandpa’s house.
Grandpa is fast asleep and they can hear him snoring upstairs. There is a flash of light and the electricity goes out. Grandpa’s house doesn’t have many windows, so it is so dark. They can barely see their own fingers.

a monster! Asha and Ayan were so scared but Ayan went closer and Ayan Found out it was a TV his Grandpa was watching earlier.
a monster OMGG run away!!, says ayan. ayan and asha sprinted to grandpa’s room. suddenly the lights turn back on. they look behind and they see that the monster was doing something. the monster takes off a costume, it is there MOM! then grandpa and mom shout APRIL FOOLS DAY! and they all start laughing.

Ayan slowly got out of his bed to take a closer look at the cat.. “Well,” said Ayan “its not a black cat so we won’t have bad luck… its a tabby cat! Ayan picked up the soft tabby cat and it started to purr. “Awww” said Asha “Should we tell grandpa?”asked Asha “No let it stay”said Ayan. We should name this cat Smokey!” said Asha the cat cuddled up to both of them and made them less scared of the thunder and lightning outside, and the power off inside. In the morning the kids showed their grandpa the cat, and he looked at them as if it was a surprise! Grandpa told them the story that last night in the pouring rain a cat came to our door and it was wet so I let it in. Later that day Asha and Ayan had to go home they were very disappointed they had to leave to go hom. Ayan and Asha were both very sad to see Smokey go… but then another surprise occurred and the were able to bring Smokey home.

A monster Ayan screams, but then he notices that the monster on the wall looks a lot like Acha’s fingers! He turns around and see’s Acha making a monster with her hands. Acha! ,says Ayan, sorry says Acha. And the two spend the night making finger puppets with there hands. The end!
” the siblings were too horrified to continue the sentence, so I’ll describe the creature myself. It’s a horrible green creature with a wretched face and cold, red eyes. The siblings turn around and start running. “Ahh” they both scream. Then Asha feels a cold, wrinkly hand on her shoulder. “Ahh! Help me!” she screams. Ayan turns around and rushes to save his sister. Ayan kicks the creature. “Ow! What was that for?” says the green monster. It takes off a mask and it turns out to be Ayan’s friend, Sam. “You scared us Sam!” said Ayan. “Aw come on, you know monsters aren’t real,” replied Sam. “Yeah… I guess,” said Ayan. As Ayan, Sam and Asha walk away, they hear another creak. “What’s that?” asks Asha. They turn around and scream the most horrifying scream ever. “Ahhhhhh!”
” He yells, and Asha turns to look at what made her brother so loud. As soon as she sees it, she screams. Although thirteen years old, Asha does have a “ serious” fear of creepy things in the dark (which Ayan knew very well.) Just as soon as her shrilling voice breaks off, Asha realizes the likeness of a human hand posing as a gross monster insect. Ayan bursts with laughter, hardly containing himself. Asha punches him, and after she does, recovers from her shock and realizes she is in no danger. The only thing she feels she can do is laugh along with her comedic blessing of a brother who brings her anger, joy, annoyance, and many other things. She realizes she often takes him fore granted and makes up in her mind to always love him.
