Screen a National Film Board short film this summer

April 22, 2024

There are many ways to promote the TD Summer Reading Club (TDSRC) and keep kids engaged all summer long. Consider some of the free and fantastic films offered by the National Film Board (NFB).

NFB compilation: What Shines Up There? (57 minutes)
Check out the full list of all films included

Interested in setting up an in-person screening?

Send a request to libraries@nfb.ca with the date, time and location of your screening(s) to receive an MP4 link for the entire 57-minute compilation, as well as for individual films. MP4 is the preferred format, but you may also request a DVD or Blu-ray if needed. These will contain the entire compilation. All files must be deleted after the event and physical discs returned to the NFB or destroyed.

For individual online viewing, please contact libraries@nfb.ca to indicate interest. This is for libraries that wish to use the streaming links provided on the TDSRC 2024 page (shared on the library’s social media page or website or via email to patrons).

Reporting your screenings
Create a schedule for reporting your viewers. This can be after each screening or on a weekly or even monthly basis. Please send the total number of viewers to libraries@nfb.ca along with your date(s) and location(s). No need to worry if you don’t have exact statistics—they can be estimated!

Questions about screening NFB films can be directed to libraries@nfb.ca.

Happy viewing!
