The TD Summer Reading Club is underway!

June 21, 2023

It is time for your library to display your StoryWalk® 2023 kits around your libraries and your communities. In accordance with the licensing agreements with the publishers of this year’s story Treasure, the panels can only be displayed from June 12 to September 4.

An important reminder that all TDSRC StoryWalk® panels from previous years cannot be displayed, as their licensing agreements are no longer valid. You can, however, cover the previous story and use the panels and stakes for other purposes.

Winnipeg Public Library (WPL) has developed a fun interactive activity to enhance the StoryWalk® program and has graciously offered to share it with you all. It is a self-guided activity for children and their families to do while visiting the library. It is also an ideal activity for daycare and group visits. A big thank you to WPL for sharing this. If your library did not get a StoryWalk®, the activity can still be done using the book.

Orca Book Publishers has generously provided the PDF of their bilingual activity sheet to enhance your StoryWalk®. You are welcome to print it off and use it at your library. Thank you very much to Orca Book Publishers for this great tool.

Another great idea comes from Cobourg Public Library, who created a StoryWalk® evaluation mailbox to collect patron feedback.
