Follow the Fox
I saw a lot of animals whenever I took the shortcut through the forest to get back to camp, so I wasn’t scared when I saw a fox one evening last summer. I had come across plenty of foxes in my life. But I knew something was different about this one right away.
The fox stood in front of me, a safe distance away, and met my eyes. We both stood still for what seemed like an eternity, staring at each other.
The fox turned and started to walk away. Suddenly, the fox stopped, turned its head, and looked back at me. I took a few steps forward and the fox starting walking again. Whenever I stopped walking, the fox stopped. Whenever I walked, the fox continued. For some reason, this fox wanted to be followed.
I continued to follow the fox as it began to walk quicker and then started into a trot. I started jogging to keep up. Suddenly, the fox stopped by a ditch and looked over at me.

then the fox pushed me in the ditch and i found three baby foxes. i think the fox wanted me to take care of the babys! then the fox left i tried to get out but it never worked and even if i almost got out the fox would growl at me so i dropped back to the ground. later i heard some one calling my name so i answered. it was my mom she came to look for me! i said im over here mom but she couldn’t find me. this went on for what felt like an hour but then my mom found me by this time the fox was long gone so my mom helped me out. then we saw the fox come back as fast as he could he obviously didn’t want me to leave . then i saw another fox so they mated and me and my mom left THE END
Then it ran to me. I ran to home so it wouldn’t find me. but then it was so angry it turned to a T. rex and smashed the house so I took my mouse pet and it scared the T. rex. So the T. rex turned back to a fox and ran to the forest again. I will never go to that forest again . Maybe just 5 more times. The end
Then, the fox walked until he was facing my back, took a couple steps back, ran, AND PUSHED ME DOWN THE DITCH. I was screaming for help but the fox never came back. I could see a flow of red water, no, LAVA, below me. I closed my eyes, waiting for the moment I’d disappear from Earth. But all that happened was a breeze of spring air. I was back in the forest with the fox who had led me home. Luckily, I was dreaming that the fox had pushed me down. The fox actually built a little nest of twigs and grass over the deep, dirt abyss. I was relieved. We got home and I was able to keep the fox as a pet and I called it ‘Cody’.
