Future Glasses
Meilin had everyday glasses, but she also owned a special pair of spectacles. She had found them at a clothing swap that her mom had taken her to at a community centre gym. Normally, Meilin disliked these events. While other people were trading clothing, she could never find anything she liked.
On this day, however, she saw a forest-green box with a few pairs of glasses in it. One particular pair stood out—the ones with the purple frames. She tried them on and was surprised that they fit so well. She looked around, noticing that the prescription seemed to match her eyes.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed some movement and turned to see an old lady trip on another woman’s bags that were blocking the aisle. The older lady fell to the ground, grabbing her knee in pain. Meilin blinked and time seemed to go backwards. The older lady got up, the bags returned to their place in the aisle and then she walked backwards up the aisle. Once she got to the beginning of the aisle, time began at the regular pace. It was like someone had pressed the rewind button on a video!
Meilin could see that the older lady would trip again, so she swapped for the glasses and hurried over to where the accident had occurred earlier. She politely asked the other woman to move her bags out of the aisle. Once the older lady had walked by safely, Meilin breathed a sigh of relief.
By the end of the three-hour clothing swap, Meilin had also helped a little boy who had gotten lost, and prevented a basketball from the other side of the gym from hitting a clothing swapper.

she took an exam twice. Her music teacher scolded her the first time for breaking an instrument, but the second time her music teacher congratulated her. After the bell rang, Meilin saved a boy from missing the school bus. As soon as she got home, she put her glasses inside a case. In the future, Meilin only used the future glasses to help others.
0n Monday Meilin wore her glasses to school and realized she had a test that she forget to study for. Using the glasses she could see the test answers. it was no surprise when she aced it. the glasses were great.
She was nervous because it was her first day of school. She was so happy to be able to see her teacher.and she was able to do her work.at Jim class she was able to play soccer.and she said, “wow”. THE END
On Monday, Meilin wore her glasses to school, and just like at the clothing exchange she prevented bad things from happening. However, after helping other people, her friend Alva noticed that Meilin was always very distracted. A few days later Alva stopped talking to Meilin. At night Meilin sat by her window, because of these glasses her friendship was at stake. Was it worth it? Meilin decided that she wasn’t the one for these glasses. So she made a parachute and let it down her window. For someone else to find. Her only hope was that the next person to find them would be able to balance their life and the glasses better than she did.
Another student tried the glasses on and he saw that Meilin would trip and break the glasses!

Saw a kid getting bullied for spilling his whole water bottle on his brothers foot. So Meilin blinked but nothing happend. She blinked again and nothing happend. Meilin got worried and ran to her locker and looked into her mirror and when she looked into her mirror she almost screamed. Her whole face was gray and and the glasses had turned red! Meilin took of the glasses and saw that engraved on the glasses it said “Wear me, wear me and you will become a goblin!” Meilin was shocked that the glasses where so evil so she threw the glasses on the ground and smashed them into a thousand pieces.

saw a teacher fall she rushed to help dropping her glasses when she got back she saw her broken glasses on the floor and she sobbed for the rest of the day. When she got home she rushed upstairs and opened a blue book ten lights flashed before her very eyes! Soon she was in a new place then she got a new dress, new shiny shoes and a wand. she saw a teacher move back and bump some other classmate she ran to help dropping her new glasses! when she helped the two she looked to the floor and saw her broken glasses and picked them up sobbing for the rest of the day. After helping a few others, some kid accidentally bumped into Meilin and the glasses broke. She was super disappointed in herself for the rest of the day. At the end of the day she had a hard time falling asleep, when she did though, she fell asleep for around 4 hours, so when she woke up she was super tired and when she got up she wore her every day glasses, when she did she saw the special glasses on her nightstand and she was happy once again, she spend the rest if her life helping other but when she told her Mother about this, her mother felt sad for her, for she was living for others more then herself. Her Mother shared her concerns and Meilin promised to never wear the glass… everyday, she just wore them every other day.

A trail of muddy footsteps were outside her door. With her old glasses, she followed the trail. On the way, she saved a puppy from a tree, stopped some littering, and put out a little fire. Then, the footprints ended, and she saw no glasses.
She then realized that she didn’t need those glasses to help people. Her glasses were just the same!

as soon as she walked in, she sat at her desk and saw her teacher trip on a chipped tile on the floor and hit her head on her desk. When she took off her glasses, Meilin saw that the teacher was about to trip! “Okay class, today we are going-“ “Ms. C! Wach out for that chipped tile!” Meilin interrupted. “Thank you Meilin, but from now on, don’t interrupt!” Ms. C exclaimed. Meilin had prevented every injury but by last recess, Meilin realized that Chloe, one of her classmates, had taken her glasses! “Chloe! Don’t put on my glasses!” But it was too late, Chloe knew. Meilin begged Chloe to keep the secret. So, from that day forward, Chloe kept the secret, and they became best friends. The end.

Since Meilin had the power to go back in the time with her glasses she reversed back in time and warned her friend .
