One Wish
Howard and I always enjoy walking to school on Thursday mornings.
Why Thursdays? Well, Thursday is garbage pickup day in our neighborhood. I guess that sounds kind of weird—to be excited about garbage pickup day—but just stay with me for one second!
The older gentleman at the end of our street always throws away the most interesting items and puts them at the end of his property for pickup on Thursdays. Once, there was a huge Pac‑Man arcade game. Last week, it was a pinball machine.
This Thursday morning, we looked ahead to see if there was anything at the end of his property.
“Oh. It’s just a lamp today,” Howard said.
“That’s a funny looking lamp,” I replied, as we approached and bent down to take a closer look. “Look at this weird pattern up here,” I said, touching the spiralled gold design on the lampshade.
“You have one wish left!”
“Uh,” Howard hesitated. “Did that just come from the lamp?” He laughed.
“I think it did,” I replied, shocked. “I think it said, you have one wish left.” I touched the lampshade again. Nothing.
“Well,” said Howard, “you might as well make a wish! Nothing to lose, right?”
“That’s true,” I replied, chuckling. “Ok. Uh. Hmm. I wish for…
Story Endings
“…I wish for” I squeeze my eyes shut as I consider this. Really? How hard can this be. I am only picking a wish, and it’s not like it will actually come true. Right? Hard to explain but I have a gut feeling the wish will work. Call it… a hunch.
“I wish…” I began “For all the world’s problems to end!”
A big whirl of light passed over us and there we go. A while later me and Howard were known for our great deed! Best feeling of my life! THE END> WEIRD I KNOW> XD
To go to Australia, and to the moon pool and become a mermaid. Oh and have four magical powers to freeze water, to boil water, to move water, and to turn water into jello.
I wish to have a dog and a cat and a kite that will fly to the moon. Be a teacher, and ride on the back of a unicorn and slide down a rainbow, eat 110 ice creams and make lots of funny books.
a book that I can wish for any fantasy world that I want and I can portal into and have adventures with the characters.”
Howard gave me a puzzled look, then look at the lamp expectingly. Minutes ticked by slowly, after seven full minutes I spoke.
“Isn’t it suppose to do something?” and as on qu it transformed in to a very large, old looking book, it didn’t even have a title. I smiled to myself pleased with my wish.
I picked it up and ran my hand softly down the front cover, Howard who was in awe at the very sight of it, reached up and touched it with a finger.
“Wow!” he breathed. I turned it over in my hands, then opened it… it was completely blank. I turned another page. Blank.
I frowned. “Isn’t supposed to have writing?” Howard gave it a thoughtful look before saying.
“I wish to go to Araluen of the Ranger’s Apprentice world.” And in saying that we felt a strange tingling in our hands. I dropped the book suddenly and we looked at each other then back a the book
the ability to meet the characters from my favourite movies, books, tv shows, and comics. I’ve always loved them and their adventures! Now I want to experience an adventure of my own.
a three story house with lot of furniture, a big garage, a swimming pool and arcade games in the basement.

“You can’t wish for more wishes.” the lamp said.
“Aww…” I said, disappointed. I thought for a second. “I wish for climate change to end and never come back.”
“Very well.” the lamp replied.
Suddenly, the air became clear and I breathed in the fresh scent of trees. The smoke from cars went up into the air and became purified. The humidity which was 24𐩑C in fall became cooler like real fall temperature.
“Wow.” Howard said. That’s all he could say.
When I got home, the news was erupting in reports; icebergs were appearing and more endangered animals weren’t endangered anymore; there were multiple sightings of polar bears and penguins. Trees that had been cut were growing back. Everything was amazing.
“A brand new tablet” i said. then the lamp started shaking and said, “you have chosen a selfish wish!.” For that I will take away one thing you love.out of shock I said “oh no!”
The world to become a better place. For example, People be more kind. And less littering!
