Fortune Cookie
Every Friday night, Marcus’s family would order takeout food. They took turns picking a local restaurant. This Friday, it was his little sister Kara’s turn to pick. She chose the nearby Chinese restaurant. Marcus ordered chicken balls with rice.
When Marcus finished eating the last of the rice on his plate, he stood up to bring his empty plate to the counter by the sink.
“Hey, don’t forget about the fortune cookies, Marcus!” his mother said.
“Oh yeah,” thought Marcus—the fortune cookies. The fortunes were always so lame. Most of the time they didn’t even make sense. But his family always made a big deal out of them.
Kara went first. She read it silently and laughed. Then she read it aloud: “Mine says, You will live long enough to open many more fortune cookies.”
Everyone laughed except Marcus.
“I’ll go next,” said his mom excitedly. “You will be hungry again in one hour.” This time Marcus couldn’t help but chuckle.
“You will be a superstar karaoke singer,” his dad screamed out. “They know me too well!” he giggled.
Marcus cracked open his cookie and pulled out the little slip of paper. He read it silently. “Marcus, do not read this out loud. Tomorrow, go to the backyard. Take three large steps past the juneberry tree and then one step to the right. Dig a hole 2 metres deep. Don’t tell anyone about this.”
“What does it say, Marcus?” Kara asked.
“Oh, um, it says, “Good things come to those who wait,” He lied.
The next day was Saturday. Marcus woke up at 7 a.m. while everyone was still sleeping. He went to the garage, grabbed a shovel, and headed to the backyard…
Story Endings
He started to dig and do exactly what the fortune cookie said. He found a key inside the hole and wondered what it was for. When his family went back to the Chinese restaurant ,Marcus gavgave the key to a worker there and never went to the restaurant again.
He took 3 large steps past the juneberry tree. And one step to the right. He started digging. He dugged 2 meters deep. He was suprised by what he saw. He saw everything he always wanted
Marcus went to the back yard. He pushed his shovel in it made a crunching sound as the blade sliced through dirt and gravel. Sudenley the shovel hit somthin not completly hard like it could be wood. He stoped what could it be, jewls, gold, a map to some long lost treasure that time had forgoten? He started diging faster sweating hard in the June heat. Finaly he could se wahat it was an old chest made out of what looked like maple woodwith a latch on it. At once he bent down and picked it up it was surprisingley light. He opened the latch it as old and rusty and made noise when he opened it. inside was a bunch of paper small in size about the size of a fortune cookie paper wait a minute they were fortune cookie papers and each one siad “Marcus, do not read this out loud. Tomorrow, go to the backyard. Take three large steps past the juneberry tree and then one step to the right. Dig a hole 2 metres deep. Don’t tell anyone about this.” and with that he put his fortune cookie paper in.
He digs the hole, then he finds a box with a note attached “do not open grave danger will come” He thinks it’s a joke, then… he opens the box a portal opens and a monster takes over the world THE END
Then he dug a hole. And then he found something! It was something mysterious. He went inside and then his mom and dad were making breakfast. And then when they were done making breakfast, they went up to the mysterious object and asked him where he found it. He told them about the hole. They found out it was a book about the library!
Marcus takes three large steps past the juneberry tree and then one step to the right. He starts to DIG a hole, when he gets 2 metres deep he finds a BIG TRUCK. It’s a truck from Alex!
Feel rather confused(anyone would in his situation) Marcus followed the first two steps of the fortune cookie.Then,at the last step,Marcus began feeling nervous. He called his friend,Edith (also the daughter of the restaurant owner) and she said, “Don’t listen. Its just a bunch of Chicken.”

he was really scared to see what will happen so he told them what happend and ever since then they never went to a Chinese restaurant ever again .
He takes three steps past the berry tree. He takes one step to the right and he digs two feet deep. He finds a treasure box with gold and a sparkly crown inside. He hides the treasure in his room. When Marcus puts the crown on at night, he is magically transported to a castle where he is king. He is a good ruler. The end!
he took 3 hhhuuugggeee steps past the juneberry tree and dug a hole 2 meters deep and inside that hole there was………………………………………………. a portal!! the portal was a galaxy colour. he jumped inside and what happened was the world was upside down!!!!!!! his head hurt and the sun went dark next thing he knew he was back in bed. this time the fortune said “you will have a crazy dream”………
He takes 3 large steps past the junberry tree and steps to the right and starts digging and digging and digging thump his shovel hits something hard it’s a pipe uh oh! Inside the house water is spraying everywhere Marcus! His mother shouts, so he jumps in the hole and hides his mother comes out and only sees the hole so she covers it and so Marcus had to lay there for 5 years the end

once he dug the hole there was another fortune cookie telling him to go some where next or what to do to find the next fortune cookie when there are so many each location you go or what you do you will the next fortune cookie only one danger awaits and the journey begins do not tell anyone what the fortune says kep it to yorself. I think Marcus dig the a 2 meter hole and he fell in it and then he called for help and his parents got hi out then he know that he got tricked by his sister and wasted his time and all of his family read the fortune cookie out loud and said you will never go to the restaurant again but when they went o the restaurant it was all a joke then Marcus know that he should never insult fortune cookies again but, then somebody who was born in japan and his age was 555 years old fix the problem of eating fortune cookies and they celebrated by eating fortune cookies and Marcus go a chance to eat fortune cookies again.
