Secret in the Garden
“Hurry up, Max!” Jules yelled. “The faster we dig, the faster we get pizza. I’m already hungry.”
Max and Jules had agreed to spend Saturday morning digging the garden to get it ready for the planting season. As soon as they finished, their mom had promised a pizza lunch—it was a fair trade-off, they thought. But just an hour into digging, Max was feeling tired.
“I’m working as fast as I can!” Max yelled back.
Max gripped his shovel tighter and dug deep. His shovel moved through the soil. Crack!
“What on earth was that?” thought Max. “Hey, Jules, I think I hit something!” he shouted.
“It’s probably just a rock,” Jules said. “Just keep going.”
Max continued to dig carefully. A round, white object slowly emerged.
“Jules, it’s not a rock!” he exclaimed. “It’s like…a big, round white thing.”
Jules walked over to look. They resumed digging around the object. The top of the object became clearer.
“It’s an egg!” Jules shouted. They continued to dig until finally, they could reach down and remove the egg from the soil.
Holding the gigantic egg, the boys were mesmerized. It was as big as a soccer ball!
“Oh, no,” Max said, pointing to a small crack in the top of the egg. “I must have cracked it with my shovel.”
Ever so slowly, the crack started to expand.
“Something’s hatching!” Jules shouted. He gently placed the egg back on the soil and they took a few steps back.
Story Endings
Out came a tail. This tail had been nothing like they had ever seen before. Then a wing came out. When the creature came out it was a dragon. The dragon led them to well into a part of a forest that they have never been to and inside were gold, diamonds, money and so much more. This afternoon when the two kids showed their mom the gold and other stuff they found, they didn’t go for pizza they went to a fancy restaurant with the greatest food on the planet. The End
Slowly the crack got bigger and bigger then out came a 10 pizza boxes! Well they get a big snack now.
What is in there? Is it a bird? Jules? Max cried its cracking so much we better take a few steps back. thats much better I think its a chick. Oh oh I think its getting mad at me now. I guessIts an evil chick. WE better run back into the house before it destroys the road. Mom Dad??? We need to stay in bed. Theres and evil chick we had better put on some hedphones so we cant hear the scarey noises. The End
Out of the egg came a little lizard looking thing. We weren’t able to determine quite what it looked like because it looked like a creature with an alligator’s mouth, with a lizard’s body, and with wings that were glowing. That was when Max thought that this mysterious looking creature was actually a baby dragon. It sort of made sense because, it did have the characteristics of a dragon and no other egg in the world would be this big. Max was starting to say that he was wondering how this egg ended up here in our backyard in all of the other places in the world. That was when I made a theory of how this egg could’ve ended up here in our backyard. Maybe the dragon could’ve been here from a long time ago around the time dinosaurs roamed the earth. His parent could’ve layed an egg and buried him to save him from the asteroid which hit the earth and killed the dinosaurs. We lifted the dragon and put him up on a bench in our backyard. We finally decided to secretly keep him as a pet.
Out popped a venomous snake! I jumped back and took a rake a threw it over the fence! Oops…
The creature emerged from the egg. It was a Kitten! Jules and her brother went inside to show there mom. “Mom!” Exclaimed Jules, “it’s a kitten! Can we keep it?” “Sure”said Mom. And they lived happily ever after.
when the egg hatched they looked at the thing that had come out of the egg. they were really surprized when they saw what it was. it was a…ostrich!
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” Max screamed. A Big fat monster came out, and walked away. It the ate the city park, and died.
Ounce it hatchet max and jules realized it was a dinosaur egg. They both ran in to the house. Safe at last they said at the same time.
-What do you think it could be? asked Max In no time, a small, round, scaly green head with big black eyes poked out of the top of the egg. -Roooooaaarrr. Said the small creature. It wasn’t scary at all, it was more pathetic and cute then anything. The small creature blinked at them and yawned. -Oh my gosh! said Jules, I think it’s a baby dinosaur! -You must be right! exclaimed Max. -Mum! Max and I found a baby dinosaur! A REAL one! yelled Jules.

After that, they named the small dinosaur Creature, and walked him around town with a leash. He never ever ate anyone. And his favourite food was brussels sprouts.

AFTER THEY TOOK A FEW STEPS BACK THE EGG WAS CRACKLING! then max said oh no its a ostriches egg!!!! after like forever a big bird came its a………………..OSTRICH then they got a big fight with the ostrich then after 200 million years :] Max and Jules gave up and fainted. the end.
When Max and Jules took few steps the egg started to hatch.When it hached Max and Jules said “It’s a baby monster.” The baby monster had tiny teeth ,small spines on it’s back,the was green and purple and it’s eye were bleu and white.Max said”I call him Rex the monster.”Jules said “thats a nice name.”Rex started to crwal into the forest.Jules said”iI think the mom is inside the forest.So Jules and Max took the monster to the forest to find rex’s mom.after 30min they herd a loud sound from the cave.Max said “I think rex’s mon is in the cave.Rex said”Momy Momy” as he laughed.So jules and Max walked inthe cave.THey saw a big shadow of amonster that looks like rex.Max said”I think rex’s momm is there.jules and Max walked closer and peaked.Rex said”Momy,Momy”The big monster tuned around.The monster gasped because she saw her son.Rex and the momy dinosaur gave a hard hug.Max and jules said bey to rex and went home to finish thier job. THE END
After they took a few steps back they watched the egg hatch.
“Should we touch it Jules?” Asked Max trying to contain his excitement!
“I’m not so sure that is a good idea Max…” Jules said starting to sound nervous.
“Why Not?” Max said stamping his foot. —- Even though Max was only Four years younger then Jules, he did have quite the attitude for his age!
“Are you scared?..” Max replied as he went up to Jules and started staring at him, he looked at him like Jules was a lion and Max was some food for the lion to snack on.
“NO!” Jules said trying to sound tough.
They took a few steps towards this mysterious egg that Max had found.
They took a few more AND…….
“Crack!” The egg split exactly down the middle. A beaked head slowly emerged from the giant egg. The bird’s head looked as though it was flaming - the feathers moved gracefully back and forth and it’s eyes had a warm fire like glow to them. “Wow!” exclaimed Max, his eyes round with awe. Then, Jules shouted,”That must be a phoenix!” He slowly approached the magnificent bird. The phoenix gazed at Jules and cawed softly.”I thought that phoenixes didn’t exist.” Max whispered softly. “They don’t.” replied Jules. Then, the flaming bird erupted into flames and nothing remained except the cracked egg shell and a pile of ashes.
Out emerged a baby dragon! “Whoa! That’s epic!” said Max.
As Max and Jules worked together to move the egg to a large flat rock, the baby dragon’s large, shining green eyes stared at Max and Jules. She had scales lined up on her body that was green like her eyes.
“She’s a beauty. What should we name her?” Jules asked Max. Max replied, “ Yeah, you’re right. I know! We should name her Jade because her eyes shine like jade stones.” “Perfect.” the two boys said.
A few hours later, the boys went into their house to the kitchen. “Mom, we finished digging. Can we have our pizza now?” shouted Jules, carrying Jade.
Max’s and Jules’ mom yelled from the laundry room saying “Sure, pizza’s still in the fridge. You guys can reheat it in the micro- wait what was that?” The sound their mom heard was Jade’s firey sneeze. Max said, “Oh, umm Jules and I were making animal sounds.” Their mom said, “Ah, ok you two have fun now.”
They all smiled eating pizza with Jade.
