The End of a Rainbow
From the porch of their grandmother’s house, Sarah and Alexandra watched as the rain storm gradually came to an end.
They loved playing soccer in the front yard. Alexandra played goalie between the two front yard trees, which served as posts for their net, while Sarah practiced shooting.
“The grass is still too wet to play,” Sarah said. “Let’s wait a while.”
“Yeah,” Alexandra agreed. They sat back in their chairs and watched as the grey clouds made way for blue sky. The sun came out.
“Look, a rainbow’s forming!” Sarah shouted.
“Cool!” Alexandra exclaimed.
“Did you know that it’s impossible to find the end of a rainbow?” said Sarah.
“That can’t be right.” Alexandra replied. “Look,” she continued, pointing far into the distance, “you can see that the rainbow comes to an end somewhere over there.”
“That’s just an optical illusion. It doesn’t actually end, I think,” Sarah replied.
“Only one way to find out!” Alexandra said, as she leaped down and began running across the front yard. Sarah jumped off her chair to run after her sister.
Story Endings
On their way to the end of the rainbow the meet their neighbour, Sam. He asks “What are you doing?” Alexandra replies “Searching for the end of the rainbow. Want to join us?” This situation repeats itself 8 more times with everybody on the block until there’s a giant conga line of people searching for the end of the rainbow. But when Joanne,Sarah and Alexandra’s Mom, sees this she says “I hate to rain on your conga line, but the rainbow is actually a circle, just we can only see half of it. Therefore, it has no start or end.
“Lexi,” Sarah called as they started walking (it’s what she calls Alexandra). “I’m getting worried…. What if we get lost, or don’t find our way back?” “Calm down, girl,” Alexandra said as she brushed past a tree. “we’ll be alright. Come to think of it, I’m hungry.” “We’re in the middle of the forest with nothing to eat, so OBVIOUSLY you’re hungry. You’re ALWAYS hungry.” Sarah informed her. As they reached the end of the forest, they almost gave up hope on finding the rainbow. But just then, something weird happened. There was a bright light that came out of nowhere and nearly blinded them! A talking duck emerged and said: “Hey, yous! What are yous doing here? This is me pot of gold and I won’t let you scallywags take it!” “So it’s true,” thought Alexandra. “talking ducks ARE real!”
their is no end of the rainbow so why is it called the end of the rainbow their is no tresher
Then Alexander,” said that she was tired of running.Sarah said ,”I told you that it’s hard to find the end of the rainbow.”I know that you told me that.Then you should’ve lisined to me.Next time I will.Well that will be a good adventure. I know.THE END!!!
A COUPLE LIGHT-YEARS LATER…
“UUGHHH!” Groaned Sarah. “When are we going to reach the end of the rainbow?” Alexandra shrugged. “I dunno. I’m starting to question myself about WHY IN THE WORLD I WANTED TO FIND THE END OF A RAINBOW.” The two sisters trudged on, following the rainbow in the sky. Suddenly, they heard a voice! “Oi, you young whippersnappers! Just WHAT do you think you’re doing here?” Sarah and Alexandra looked around, but they didn’t see anyone. “HEY! I’m down here, weird humans!” They looked down to find…a leprechaun staring straight at them! “AARRGGGH!” Sarah and Alexandra screamed. The leprechaun sighed. “Well, do you guys want me to show you where my treasure is hidden or not? You’ve reached the end of the rainbow, after all.” SO, the leprechaun showed them the treasure, which was not gold, but a rainbow-coloured pig! THE END
“We’ve been walking for hours” Sarah complained “I’m sure there’s no end to the rainbow”. “Be patient Sarah” Alexandra said. “We’re getting closer”. Soon, they reached the end of the rainbow!”I told you there was a end” said Alexandra.
“Fine you are right,but look in front of us, there is a whole forest!” Sarah said.The forest looked so sparkly and magical.The girls entered the forest.
“Oof!”Sarah had bumped into a weird creature! Suddenly the creature changed shape!”Hi I’m a shape shifter” said the creature “welcome to the illusion.” Alexandra asked “what do you mean illusion?”The shape shifter pressed a button on the machine next to him. As soon as he touched the button the forest vanished . He said “I mean an illusion”and then burst out laughing. “WHAAAAAAT!!!!” the girls screamed “COME ON!”
They chased after the rainbow and then they found a pot of gold. Except it wasn’t really gold, it was actually chocolate coins. They tried to get some but a massive leprechaun tried to stop them. So then they took a couple and stepped over the leprechaun and the leprechaun said “you’ll pay for this next time!”. And then they found another basket of them at the other end and they put the other ones in there and dragged it home.
They finally ran to the end of the rainbow. Alexandra stopped suddenly. “What is it” Sarah asked Alexandra. When Sarah looked through the bushes, she knew why Alexandra was staring. they were looking at a leprechaun dancing while singing the Irish national anthem. Sarah and Alexandra soon found themselves humming the tune. They went home and decided it would be best not to reveal the leprechaun’s secret.

Alexandra got about half a mile until she fainted, Sarah soon had to carrie her sister to THE END OF THE RAINBOW 🌈 Alexandra woke up in a magical place and saw a UNICORN 🦄!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She rode the unicorn everywhere around the magical place before wondering were her sister was then she looked up and in the sun and saw her sister,dead
Then Alexander and her sister ran to the end of the rainbow and found a rainbow making Centaur(a half man, half horse creature), the Centaur looked at them with anger, Alexandra said “Alright, I bet 100 dollars that you won’t talk to the Centaur.” Then Sarah replied “I bet 200 you won’t talk to the Centaur.” Right after they finish the Centaur took out his sword and said “who are you?” The girls said “i’m Alexandra, and i’m Sarah!” The Centaur invited them into his house. They played a lot of games like hide and seek until dawn, the girls said “it’s time to go home.” The Centaur said “ride on my rainbow and i’ll send you home!” Then the girls hopped on and they went home just in time for their mom’s homemade cookies!
A duck was guarding a pot of carrots at the end of the rainbow. And the duck was also washing the carrots at the end of the rainbow. There was no pot of gold, only carrots.
They were walking for a really long time until saw a mountain.They climbed up the mountain and saw that at the bottom of the mountain there was a stream of light.They walked down the mountain and finally found the light they stepped on it and Alexandra said,This must be the beginning of the rainbow!Then Sarah said,No, there is no such thing as a beginning or an end of a rainbow!What do you bet!Said Alexandra.I bet 40 bucks!Said Sarah.Okay,then I bet 120!Said Alexandra.Then Sarah Said, I’ll bet 350!!!Okay.Said Alexandra.Then they walked up a rainbow hill until it was to steep to walk down.Time to slide to the bottom.Said Alexandra.3,2,1,SLIDE!Down we go!!!!Said Alexandra.Ugh!That was a hard landing!Said Sarah.Look a pot of gold!See end of a rainbow!Said Alexandra.No just fake gold!Said Sarah.Look up!Said Alexandra and they both saw a rainbow.Okay,I guess your right.Now lets go home.Said Sarah.Then they walked home and once they got there Sarah gave Alexandra her 300 bucks.
They run very far and….THEY SEE THE RAINBOW🌈!!! And they find….🍫🍫🍫🍫 a million chocolates!!!
When they ran, they made it to the end of the rainbow a bit close to ther house. At the end there was a pegasus! AND a pot of gold. After a while, the pegasus whose name was Rainbow, were all friends and she flew them back home. Soon the family became rich, and Rainbow was now their pet and best friend forever!!!
By the time Sarah had caught her sister, they were face to face with a …
Unicorn! Alexandra had already started playing with the unicorn. Sarah wasn’t too sure about this “unicorn”.But she knew it was nice when the unicorn gave her and Alexandra a ride across the rainbow.
After that day Sarah was not as unimaginative and confined.
Alexandra bolted through the the forest as she triped over a twig that fell from a tree beside. Sarah came running to say “stopppp! The Rainbow will keep moving! Even if you run faster, the rainbow will move!” sarah said taking alot of deep breaths. while the Rainbow was disappearing!”Now look what YOU did!!!” said Alexandra looking up at the disapppearing Rainbow. “ME?!” said Sarah confused and offended.”Yeah YOU! you made the Rainbow disappear!” yelled Alexandra. they had a big fight!one loooooong hour later! They finally apologized to each other. And they herd there mom’s call. “Coming” they called back! THE END!
Alexandra and Sarah kept running until they say the end of the rainbow “wait,what is that square shaped thing on the rainbow”said Sarah.”They are stairs,lets climb them”cheers Alexandra.So Sarah and Alexandra climb to the top.On the top there is a slide,they slide down. THE END!
They ran for a long way soon they decided to go back but they couldn’t find there way back they were lost!But suddenly they came to a huge mound of dirt they were so tired they plopped right down and they landed on something hard… it was the treasure and they were rich ever after!
They ran and they ran into the woods and they were not able to get out so they had to keep walking and they had no clue how to get to the end of the rainbow 🌈 they thought that at the end of the rainbow there was a pot of gold.
