The Barren Grounds
Morgan and Eli, two Indigenous children forced away from their families and communities, are brought together in a foster home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They struggle to fit in at school and at their new home, until a portal opens in an unfinished attic bedroom, leading them to a frozen reality.
It was amazing!
It was great but it was a little sad
I listened to this in my class and I think it is about the transition between being a kid and being a teen because when your a kid there is nothing to be sad about but when you are a teen you start to get sadder and this is the journey of getting back to what makes you happy. And with the characters I think they are amazing and everyone should read the second one and the third. I hope they get a happy ending. Great twist and turns with sad and happy parts and I am so happy.
