Congratulations to the French Program Winners of the 2021 TD Summer Reading Club Library Awards!

The three French program winners of the 2021 TD Summer Reading Club (TDSRC) Library Awards were announced during a ceremony held on Thursday, May 5, as part of the Rendez-vous des bibliothèques publiques du Québec [Quebec public libraries event] at Théâtre Outremont in Montréal. The winners were:

  • First prize ($8,000)—Donnacona Municipal Library (Quebec)
  • Second prize ($4,000)—Kirkland Library (Quebec)
  • Third prize ($2,000)—Chambly Municipal Library (Quebec)

Two libraries stood out and received an honourable mention:

  • Mercier Municipal Library (Quebec)
  • Sainte-Julie Municipal Library (Quebec)

They were very impressed with the programs created by the winning libraries and those that received an honourable mention. You can also watch the videos [French only] produced by the winners highlighting their very successful activities and the efforts made by library staff to provide original and innovative reading clubs.

The English program winners will be revealed at an online awards ceremony on June 8, 2022, during the Atlantic Provinces Library Association (APLA) conference.
